Dumfries Transport Extravanganza                           

Friday 20th Preston Trunk Road Run : Over 25 preserved commercials took part  in this years Preston Trunk now in its fifth year. The run has gone from strength to strength since it began in 2003. Leaving Dumfries at 12 noon, the run takes in magnificent scenery of the cumbrian fells, the challenge of shap summit and the busy market towns of Kendal, Lancaster & Carnforth before arriving in Preston. After a break at Red Scar Industrial Estate in Preston we began our journey back north at around 6:30 pm. For myself travelling alongside Ian Murdoch of Castle Douglas in his ERF Ribble Cement tanker it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience!
