THE CARNFORTH CHANGEOVER

Dumfries - Carnforth - Dumfries

In the 50 s and 60 s, I grew up beside Road Services Caledonian Dumfries.  I used to watch the night trunkers leave the depot; Albion Snowcats, Leylands, Bedfords all loaded to the hilt and the Albion Artics bucking up and down trying to pull away.

In past runs we have lost a lot of time between Carnforth and Preston bothways, so this year we will stop at Carnforth where present day changeovers take place.  This will give us a better return time back to Dumfries on the Friday night.

Entry Forms soon to be available for downloading but in the mean time, email: jdoig67@yahoo.co.uk
